Who is responsible
MeetCue is a private project of Mario Fraiß-Kollmanitsch, c/o FRAISS Holding GmbH, Herrengasse 9, 8010 Graz, Austria, e-mail hello@getmeetcue.com.
The website
This website uses no cookies and no tracking across websites. Fonts and images are served from this website itself; your browser makes no requests to third parties.
Only if you request the download do you send us personal data, see the section on the download e-mail.
The website is hosted by Vercel Inc., 440 N Barranca Avenue #4133, Covina, CA 91723, USA, as our processor. To deliver the pages and to protect against attacks, Vercel processes technical data of each request, such as the IP address, time, requested page and browser type, in server logs. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in a secure and working website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Data may be processed in the USA. Vercel is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, so the European Commission's adequacy decision covers this transfer (Art. 45 GDPR); Vercel also uses the EU standard contractual clauses.
Visitor statistics
To see how many people visit the website and which pages they read, we use Vercel Web Analytics. It sets no cookies and stores nothing on your device. Vercel counts page views, the page and referring website, country, browser, operating system and device type. To tell visits apart, Vercel forms a hash from the request that cannot be traced back to you and discards it after 24 hours; we only see aggregated figures. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in knowing how the website is used (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). You can object at any time, for example by blocking the script /_vercel/insights/script.js in your browser.
We also count how often the MeetCue installer is downloaded, per file and per day. Only these numbers are stored, nothing about you or your device. The numbers are kept in a database from Upstash, Inc. (USA); since they are not personal data, nothing about you is passed on to Upstash.
Download e-mail and newsletter
To download MeetCue, you enter your e-mail address. We first send you an e-mail to confirm it; until you click that link, we store nothing. After you confirm, we send you the download link. If you ask to be told when MeetCue is available for macOS or Linux, we note this with your address and write to you once it is ready. We store the address, the time of the request, the platforms you asked for, the calendar you plan to use (Microsoft or Google) and whether you subscribed to the newsletter. The legal basis is your request (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
If you tick the newsletter box, the same confirmation link also subscribes you to the newsletter. Only after you click it do we send you news about MeetCue (double opt-in, Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). Every e-mail from us has an unsubscribe link; using it deletes your address from our list. You can also withdraw at any time by writing to hello@getmeetcue.com.
To see whether our e-mails arrive and are useful, we record whether you click the links in them, for example the download link. For this, the links lead through Resend first, which notes the click and forwards you. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in knowing whether the download reaches people (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). We do not track whether you open an e-mail.
We keep your address until you ask us to delete it. To send e-mails and keep the list we use Resend, a service of Plus Five Five, Inc., 2261 Market Street #5039, San Francisco, CA 94114, USA, as our processor under a data processing agreement. Data may be processed in the USA. Plus Five Five, Inc. is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, so the European Commission's adequacy decision covers this transfer (Art. 45 GDPR); in addition, the EU standard contractual clauses apply.
The MeetCue app
MeetCue has no servers. The app runs on your computer and talks directly to Microsoft. We, the makers of MeetCue, receive none of your calendar or account data.
To tell you about new versions, MeetCue asks getmeetcue.com once a day whether an update exists. This request contains only the app version; like any web request, it also carries your IP address, which our host Vercel processes as described above. Nothing is stored about you. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in keeping the app up to date and secure (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). You can switch the check off in MeetCue's settings ("Nach Updates suchen").
To show your meetings, the app signs in with your Microsoft account through the account manager of your operating system and reads your calendars from Microsoft Graph with these read-only permissions:
| Permission | Why |
|---|---|
Calendars.Read | Read your own calendars and meetings |
Calendars.Read.Shared | Read calendars colleagues shared with you (colleague feature, work and school accounts) |
MeetCue never reads email, files or contacts. Meeting data is kept in memory only and fetched again every few minutes. On your computer, MeetCue stores (on Windows in %LOCALAPPDATA%\MeetCue):
| File | Content |
|---|---|
msal.cache | Sign-in data, encrypted by the operating system (on Windows with DPAPI) |
account.txt | The id of the signed-in account, so it is found again after a restart |
state.json | Your calendar and colleague choices, placement and display options |
log.txt | Error messages; may contain calendar names |
Signing out in MeetCue removes the account, your calendar and colleague choices and the log from your computer. Uninstalling MeetCue and deleting the folder removes everything.
Microsoft processes your account and calendar data as the provider of your Microsoft account; its own privacy statement applies.
